Make sure you do some research on how much memory comes with the computer as Vista takes about 1GB, I believe and you want at 2G for your other stuff. Also make sure you a video card with 512mg or more. I believe you can still get windows XP for a computer being customize, but probably not one off the store shelf.
I bought mine last year from Dell and got it with Windows XP. It made 3D run so much faster. But now I want a quad-core computer… but that’s a whole other story.
